- The American 15th Armoured Co. was formed specifically in response to the acquirement of several new forms of armoured fighting vehicles (AFVs), and the unique environment they would be required to operate within. After Battle for Devil's Rock, and when the siege around the Fort Caulder Entry-Point was broken (shortly before the Battle of Maunsworth Field), the American forces captured several new AFVs from the retreating Exile forces. Among the Field-Transports and tractors they discovered several Field-Walkers (two of which were still operational). Upon returning them from the Heavenfield they were quickly reverse-engineered by the research and development teams under contract from Lammb Industries Inc. and designated the A-54 'Goliath' Heavy Field-Walker. The 15th Armoured Company was hastily set up to covertly train tank crews in the new vehicles (including the CrAB Light-Support Vehicle which was being rushed into service). Stationed at the Fort Caulder Army base, a large section of the 15th (known within the Company as 'Iron Fist') was utilised for 'Operation Underworld'.
